Intake and Assessment - The First Step
This comprehensive assessment is the initial access point for:
- All CAP services.
- HIV case management via the Partnership Project.
Intake:
- Is typically a 90-minute appointment.
- Provides individualized, family-focused needs assessment for new and returning clients.
- Gives information/referrals for CAP programs, Partnership Project services, insurance issues, and many other HIV services in the Portland metro area.
- Staff work with clients to develop a specific goal plan to meet their short- and long-term needs.
- Is a joint process for both Cascade AIDS Project and Partnership Project.

Information and Referral
The Intake Department is also available to answer questions regarding HIV services and issues for both curious individuals and other agencies via telephone or e-mail or a drop-in basis.
