Art Auction, AIDS Walk & Other Events
Volunteers help in the planning and production of CAP’s two major fundraising events.
- CAP Annual Art Auction (April)

- AIDS Walk Portland (October)
Other events throughout the year include LGBT Pride weekend and World AIDS Day. Please contact Volunteer Coordinator Marc Kochanski (503.278.3814) about volunteering for any of these events.
Committee Members
Committee members bring their professional talents to these committees. Volunteers must be able to attend Committee meetings and work on major logistics of the event independently and within the Committee. Volunteers interested in Committee work will be interviewed by Special Event staff.
Team Captain
Team Captain volunteers help to recruit, train & supervise volunteers for the day of the event. Team Captains are given preference if they have participated in the event before as a one-day volunteer, or have volunteer coordination/event production experience.
Businesses
Businesses, community groups and social organizations, come get involved! Volunteer at one of our events in groups of 5 – 20. Show your support for CAP during the event by wearing your affiliation. For more information on sponsorship, contact Michael Sorensen, Director of Development at 503.278.3850.
Day of Event
Day of Event Volunteers provide hands-on support the day of the event in a variety of roles including set up, route monitors, art monitors, registration, check-in, greeters, booth volunteers, takedown/clean up, and more.
Data Entry
Data Entry volunteers are needed in our development office before and after each of our special events. Once a week minimum commitment, previous data entry experience preferred.
Volunteers must be able to attend event planning and training meetings.
