HIV/AIDS Awareness Days­

A number of national and global observances are held annually to help us understand and fight the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services is using many resources to combat the disease, including supporting these observances, which help raise awareness and spread information about HIV/AIDS throughout the nation.

  • May 7 - World AIDS Orphans Day
  • May 18 – HIV Vaccine Awareness Day
  • May 19 – National Asian & Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 
  • May 19 – World Hepatitis Day
  • June 8 – Caribbean American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
  • June 27 – National HIV Testing Day
  • September 27 – National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
  • October 11 – National Coming Out Day 
  • October 15 – National Latino AIDS Awareness Day 
  • December 1 – World AIDS Day
